Agencies / Services Providers

Agency involvement in Transition Planning can make a significant difference in the lives of students with disabilities. We want to welcome you to the Arkansas Transition Services website and hope that you find the information provided helpful and informative in gaining knowledge about transition and other programs and services in the state of Arkansas.

If you are currently providing services to a student with a disability we encourage you to ask the teacher to be invited to the student's IEP meeting. The parents will have to provide consent (if the student is under 18) for you to attend. If you do attend the meeting bring any information that will be helpful in planning for the student's future. Do you have any assessment information for that student? Do you have knowledge of particular skills the student has? What services or contributions can your agency provide now or possibly in the future?

We also encourage agencies to get involved on local transition teams and attend Transition Fairs . If the schools in the area you serve don't have a team or hold Transition Fairs, talk to them about the possibility. We're happy to help in any way we can!

You will find information and links below that will assist you in gaining knowledge about transition and the role you can play in this vital process.

If you have information about your agency that you would like added to this site please email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
